I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 7 f" }7 B4 a* _; d. g+ E7 m$ Q5 Q) ~* a
